What should we do if our campaign raises more money than the initial goal?

If you've surpassed the goal for the amount of money your organization was initially looking to raise, you could send an update to your donors thanking them for their generosity and how you plan to use the extra funds. 

Since CharityVillage does not have the knowledge or expertise to advise on how non-profits claim donations, especially if the amount is more than what you were initially asking, it might be a good idea to discuss with an accountant, accountant and/or the CRA.
