How do I apply for volunteer positions on CharityVillage?
Step 1: Select the volunteer listing from the left hand side of your search results to review it. Click the APPLY button to start the application.
Important Note: Depending on the application method the employer has chosen when creating their posting, the Apply button could also say, "Quick Apply."
Step 2: There are 3 ways to apply for a listing on CharityVillage. How you apply to each position will depend on the application method selected by the organization.
The 3 methods to apply for a volunteer listings are:
1.APPLY button will direct you to the organization's website or a specific web page for you to apply.
2. If you see a button labeled Quick Apply, the first step of the application may include qualifying questions. Any question marked with a red asterisk (*) is mandatory and must be answered before proceeding. On the next page, you'll be prompted to upload your resume, cover letter, and any additional documents you'd like to include before submitting your application.
3.APPLY button will bring you to a page to upload your resume and cover before submitting your application.
Important Note: If the cover letter field has a red asterisk (*), it is required. You can either type your cover letter directly into the box or upload it as a document in the next section—but you must enter at least some text in the field before proceeding.

Step 3: Once you've submitted your application, you will receive a message at the end of the process confirming that your application has been submitted successfully.
If you don't have an account, you can click the button that says, "Import and register now." The resume you submitted for the application will be used to populate the information on your profile. Don't worry, you can make any edits you wish once your account has been created.
Important Note:Your profile and resume are not publicly searchable on CharityVillage. Only the hiring manager(s) of the organization you’ve applied to can view your information.
