What are the first steps I should take when accessing my eReference check account?

If you are accessing your eReference check account for the very first time, it is important you set up your theme and text templates. For theme, you are provided the option to upload your organization's logo and add your company colours. Regarding text templates, you have the option to customize the messaging that will be sent to both the individual filling out an eReference Survey and the candidate who will be adding their reference(s) to be contacted.

 

Step 1: Click Themes from the menu on the left hand side and then the CREATE button located at the top right of the page.

                         
                       

 

Step 2: To add your logo, click UPDATE IMAGE

 

Step 3: This same page allows you to adjust the colour scheme to match your organization's colours. 

Theme Name, make sure to attach a name to it. As an example, you can use your organization name.

Default Theme - Select Yes from the drop down menu if you would like to always use this theme going forward. You can adjust this at any time.

Don't forget to click the SAVE button at the top right to save your changes.


Step 4:
Click Text Templates from the menu on the left hand side and then +Create.




Step 5:

Name: Add your organization's name
Default: Click "Yes"

Survey Introduction email:
The text added her is what the individual will see when they receive the request to fill out the eReference survey.

Sample Text: You have been selected as a reference for employment purposes. Kindly take a moment to complete the following questions at your earliest convenience.

Survey Completion email
: Once the individual has filled out the eReference survey, they will see the text added in this field.
Sample Text: Congratulations! You've successfully finished the questionnaire, and we sincerely appreciate your valuable feedback. You may now close this screen as no further action is needed from you.
